It would be better if you started a new thread with your specific issue. It's an Apple requirement so we have no control over that.
Similar symptoms may have entirely different causes.Īs noted above that issue was around allowing the driver to install which needs to be done in High Sierra Security & Privacy and this is required by Apple. I'd like to help but since you're on a different (earlier) version of ScreenFlow and haven't listed your OS I'm not sure you have the same issue. High Sierra itself had fixes and the latest version you should be on is 10.13.6 which fixed earlier issues. Also new Macs use a new T2 chip which require the new sound driver which isn't available to 6.x.
The original poser was on ScreenFlow 7.1 though and the later 7 series (7.3.x) had to use a new sound driver. You can find it at this link under Previous Versions. If you are on High Sierra (as the original poster notes) you should be on ScreenFlow 6.2.4. I'm running SF 6 but would appreciate a patch or something! "Telestream Audio.pkg", find the page and click downloadħ) Run the Installer - to do this double click on the downloaded zip file which should be in your downloads folderĨ) And started Screen Flow 7 with successĩ) The "Record Computer Audio" showed up.ġ0) Restarted again in Recovery Mode (Cmd-R)ġ1) Started the Terminal Program again (see above) If you can't find it, it does not exist and so move onto next step.Ħ) Downloaded the Telestream Audio.pkg - to do this go to google and type in For Non Technical people here are the instructions again with a few more pointers for newbies.ġ) I restarted in Recovery Mode (Cmd-R) - to do this turn your computer off then press the power button as well as "command" key and "R" keyĢ) Started the Terminal Program there (you find it in the menu)ĥ) Deleted the "TelestreamAudio.kext" in HD / Library / Extentions - to do this go to your finder window, type in the file name. I'm not a technical person but your instructions were very clear and they worked.
