Similar symptoms may have entirely different causes.Īs noted above that issue was around allowing the driver to install which needs to be done in High Sierra Security & Privacy and this is required by Apple. I'd like to help but since you're on a different (earlier) version of ScreenFlow and haven't listed your OS I'm not sure you have the same issue. High Sierra itself had fixes and the latest version you should be on is 10.13.6 which fixed earlier issues. Also new Macs use a new T2 chip which require the new sound driver which isn't available to 6.x.

The original poser was on ScreenFlow 7.1 though and the later 7 series (7.3.x) had to use a new sound driver. You can find it at this link under Previous Versions. If you are on High Sierra (as the original poster notes) you should be on ScreenFlow 6.2.4. I'm running SF 6 but would appreciate a patch or something!
